into the blogosphere i go...

So, I am finally doing it. I have been thinking about this blog for the last year, wondering if anything I have to say is important enough or worthy of anyone else's time to sit and read. Well, after pouring over friend's blogs and enjoying every little moment that I get to share with them without actually "being there", I've decided that it is such a great way share my life with you all without time, distance, or just the stuff of life getting in the way. Here goes! It's 2010...why not. I hope to just share whatever is going on, what's on my heart, what Jesus is doing in my family's life and of course, all things having to do with art, fashion, music, books, food and design. I hope this year brings a lot of exciting new adventures for our family and for yours. God bless!

our eyes are on You.

jay and i saw a miracle today. with our own eyes. our hearts are so full, they just might pop. there is nothing, nothing more amazing than seeing the life that you created, that was gifted to you by God, that you only dreamed of one moment and then are viewing in black and white, like a fact, on a screen just months later.

today we met our new son or daughter. he or she is so beautiful already. there is a strong little heart flickering there. arms and legs and hands and feet. and we are beyond thankful. rejoicing. the Lord is good. His timing, perfect.

we were given a "sneak peek" of the baby at our first appt. today and will get to see him or her again monday to determine the actual due date. but, it will be sometime between end of july and end of august! we'll keep you posted with the new date.

friends, please be in prayer for us, the baby and all of the transitioning that goes on with pregnancy and a toddler! so far, so good, but i'm sure it's going to get harder. cole is so in love with babies right now and that has been so sweet to witness. let's hope it stays that way!

i'll be meditating on this until i see Him and until i see our next child...
"i have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. i can do everything through Him who gives me strength." phillipians 4:12-13

"do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." phillipians 4:6-7

and this prayer is for the new little one, who we cannot wait to meet...
"the Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you, the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace." numbers 6:24-26
