as for today...jay, coltrane and i had a nice breakfast together, just our little family. after cole went down for his nap, i set off on my own adventure. fabric store, goodwill (score, score, score...i won't go into the details) and then cole was ready for the marina and we were off! lots of fun down there, super busy with families, food and baby ducks.
i can't even begin to say how blessed i feel this year. a loving, wonderful husband who thinks mom's should not cook breakfast on mother's day (i completely agree), an amazing (almost) 2 year old who is so affectionate and sweet, and then this little bun in the oven that i can't even begin to tell you how excited i am to meet!!! i've begun thinking about what we'll be doing with him in just a few months, how it'll be warm and he'll basically live in the tiniest little onesie they make for the remainder of the summer. he is so active in my belly, much more so than cole ever was and is constantly reminding me that he's there. i'm so glad, too because life has been so fleeting...chasing a toddler, getting together with friends, meals, cleaning, study groups, grocery shopping, remodeling the boy's room. it's all happening so fast and it's easy to forget that davis is there sometimes! so different the second time around.
well, to all you mommies out there...i hope today was all that mine was. full of love, blessings and most of all, some special moments with those little ones or grown up ones. it's a pretty high calling to be a mother and i feel like i know some pretty amazing ones. you are all beautiful daughters of God. you deserve this special day!
these photos aren't new (we're having computer memory issues...so no new ones for now), but here's just a few of my faves.

So cute! I'm so glad you had a great day today! I do want to hear about those thrift store finds!!!! You're right it is different the 2nd time around. Sometimes I get some big kicks and almost have to remind myself that there's a little one in there - boy how different it is than the first where you are so totally aware of every single movement all day every day! Happy Mother's Day to you Kim!!!
